Default Hamicad fitting quality?

Hi there, newbie here.

I've just bought myself a 2007 SV650s and want to get myself a nice neat tail tidy. From reading the millions of threads it looks like the Hamicad is the one to go for however I was just wondering how well it fits. Is it OEM standard or am I going to end up with gaps that I'm gonna need to fill in?

Mine fits like a glove. No problems at all and the instructions that come with it are pretty good as well.

No gaps, piece of **** to fit. Had one for 5 years on my SV1000 with no problems at all.

You will need to think about a reflector - I nicked the one off the snow shovel, bent and drilled a piece of alu about 10mm x 35mm and bolted it to the bottom of the plate using a yellow number plate screw

Another endorsement for the hamicad, fitted fine.
My plate had a reflector fixed to it so didnt have to even touch that.

I used the metal brace between the indicator lights from the snow shovel to make a reflector bracket. I just bent and drilled that. Looks perfect.

Anyone know the legality of fitting red reflective tape like this over the number plate light?

Quick photoshop of what I mean.

From memory reflective tape is not legal-wise an allowable rear reflector.

Better than nothing though - which is what many bikes have.
