Default Wets In Winter

Its ironic that the block style wets are the perfect tyres for the winter and this snowy weather in particular. What would be the "punishment" if caught using them? C

I can see no problem in cold temperatures but as you know they start to shred up on a hot dry track As far as "Punishment" is concerned the only thing is cost but as they would not be put under the same stress as track use they would probably be OK for normal road use if with a reduced milage against a normal road tyre.

IIRC you can get 3 points per defective tyre, and if they are marked not for road use...

RUO markings come of very easily with a steady hand and small handheld dremel

Avon make some road legal wets but they won't last 2 minutes

If they are suitable for road use then there is no fine but if they are not, and don't have the required 1mm tread, or if they are marked not for road use then it would be 3 point and £60 for each tyre.
