How do you keep heat in your tyres in the cold weather?,drop the psi a few pounds, not enough to affect stability, so the tyre flexes a bit more and generates heat. The amount of adhesion lost with cold tyres is quite high and apart from the obvious[Slow down] I just wondered how people manage their tyre grip in these cold conditions with normal road tyres.
I do not ride myself in these conditions and just being curious how others coped. |

Yeah down to 29/30 or something. Much lower on the Storms and they squirm a bit. But TBH I'm not riding at the moment and don't have much urge to with an inch of slush on the road outside.
On just cold clear roads they are fine like that, they get enough heat into them to be predictable but not enough to really be called sticky.
