Default Is it worth trying to sell now?

Have been thinking on selling the 675, I'd like a Tiger.

Is it worth spending the ad cost and listing fee putting in MCN and on ebay now, given the snow etc? Or best leave it a while?

Will be putting it back to stock so if any of the Triumph club on here would be interested in the bits off of it then PM - shorty titanium colour Pazzos (NOT the Chinese stuff!!!!), TOR can, aero screen, gel seat, T3 bungs.

Opinions on timing please...

mines on ebay again, based on it been explained to me that;

If you're selling and buying 2nd hand then the value you'd lose on selling yours this time of year you'd save on buying at this time of year so its swings and roundabouts. The only draw back is the dip in market activity, not many people are in a position to be buying themselves a nice toy this time of year so you wont have as much interest as in spring for example but then again... you're looking to buy & sell, Im looking to buy and sell so we cant be the only people out there doing it.

Thats my optomisic view atm anyway, ask me again on sunday night when my auction finishes.

Short answer... no not really.

I had my 2006 CBR600RR up forsale at £3000 as I just wanted it gone. £3000 is well under all the guide prices. It was up for over a month at this price with no interest at all.

In the end i traded it in for £4000, which goes to show just how low I had it priced and it still didn't move.

Have you considered trading it in against the tiger? The thing you have in your favour is your 675 is the Ltd edition which is pretty awesome and may make it easier to shift.

Also consider advertising on Pistonheads Classifieds as its FREE.

Ed if it a LE 675 (guessing the white with blue frame) see what the Triumph dealers will offer.
As the last few Triumphs LE's at main dealers went for a premium over list.

What you fancying next?

No, 'tis a Masterbike. It was 1 of 100 that Triumph made to celebrate being voted Sportsbike of the year in 2006 and 2007. It's a 2008 reg. And it came with loads of carbon.

I'd like a Tiger 1050 but whether I can afford one is another matter. That's why I'd like the £££ rather than PX so I can drive a better deal.

Its a rare beast so you may still get a good price PX, but that depends upon the dealer.
If you go this month you'll be able haggle a lot as everywhere is dead, best to go see what they say.

The current part ex value of my 07plate SV is £1200 thanks to its CAT D record £1800 if it was a clean example.

Ed imo the dealers will be bending over backwards atm to shift bikes so you wont need cash to get a better deal, go speak to them, that dont cost nothing.

Btw, get a sprint instead

I recently got a really good deal from Triumph dealer , recon would be a great time to get a good deal with the weather and runup to Christmas

Only downside is you want to use the bike this weather is keeping it clean , but this does not bother me as a tool for getting to work

Go have a look and treat yourself

Get a sprint +1 , well at least give one a test ride

Cheers Steve
