Default Broken foot - ouch

Broke a bone in my foot last night.

I slipped out the back door on ice last night and knew I'd done some damage. After ignoring it didn't work I went up to casualty earlier today and it turns out I have an avulsion fracture of the fifth metatarsal. Hurts like a *******.

Careful on the slippy stuff folks - and wear appropriate footwear. I don't wish to reinforce any stereotypes of the North but I was wearing clogs at the time. No, really, I was.

The good news is the only treatment is rest. More tea and biscuits please!

only taking the pi55, never broke my foot (touch wood) but it hurts like a mo-fo when u stub one so a brake must be quite sore.

Yes I broke my little pinky toe while wearing my wife's shoes.

It's a proper manly injury I'll have you know.

If you were destined to be a footballer it would have been the infamous 4th metatarsle you'd have broken.

My mother-in-law once broke a bone in her foot waving at the dog...

Once you are back on your feet, I know a gentleman who would love your phone number!

What are you trying to suggest?

Look this was entirely innocent. I needed to nip out to the car. All my shoes were upstairs and my wife's clogs were lying at the door.

They are a wedge sole with a two inch heel if anyone's interested. Not very practical but at least as I was falling over my calves looked FANTASTIC.
