Default Replacement clutch lever?

hey all,

i want to replace the clutch and brake levers on my bike for some more aesthetically pleasing ones, on ebay there are loads. but it seems the one for my bike has a ball on it??

i havent taken mine off but there is one on ebay from a bike like mine which seems to have a ball on it, but none of the other ones seem to?

anybody know what im talking about or any advice?

zach

If you buy cheap anodised levers, expect the colour to rub off within a week. The ball on the end doesn't make any difference to the function of the lever. It just means there is a little extra to wear down if the lever should find itself sliding down the road whilst attached to your bike. Best not to think about that really.

A few peeps on here have the pazzo type copies on their bikes from china and similar places, apparently not bad, think you can get a set for about £30 as opposed to £150 for pazzos.

Ball-ended levers are a legal requirement.

sorry for the confusion, its not a ball on the road end of the bar, it looks like the ball clips into to holder.

on this one

From looking at the pictures, the one with 'ball' thing. Is that not just the securing bolt which goes through?

Well the one hole should go all the way through which is how the lever attaches to the assembly. The other hole should only be on one side where the cable is attached and secured. They both look the same to me.

Ask the seller the question.

Those levers are identical. One has a pivot bolt in it.
