This morning.. on way to breakfast service at the hotel.. 6am

uncovered car- all clear windscreen etc..

get in car

car shows minus 6 !

set off.

before I am off the estate all the windows froze up- dangerous.. me stops. to put de -icer on..

pull in.
pop the boot.
grab de icer ..

squirt side window and all windscreen .. then stop.. smells odd.. go under street lamp..

I have grabbed a can of black Hammerite paint in error !!

didnt know whether to laugh or cry ..

ha luckily .. the ice had formed a layer of protection.. the paint wasnt shook up too much so wasnt too mixed and was like a soft grey.. real de icer on and an old t shirt from the boot as a rag and it came off- or so I thought..

got to work..

finished at 11 went to car.. .. still lots of grey/black splatters.. but a quick work over the windows with some regular grade Farecla and it came off- pheeeew..

my car likes paint .. if you recall when I moved house and loaded all my shed stuff in to boxes and put two on passenger seat .. went over a speed bump and heard a pppssshhh
and the box on top had depressed the nozzle on an aerosol in the box below

nice Suzi GSxr Blue all over my red leather seat and arm rest !

Lol, you took it well quiff, I would lost my rag I think and damaged it more, I probably wouldn't have told anyone either.
