Default YCs phone's carked it

My ancient steam powered nokia 2310 has died.

If anyone has tried to contact me I apologise, normal service will soon be resumed!

I'm not sure whether you can get a replacement gerbil to run around in the little wheel inside so I think it is new phone time. As any viewer of "Yorkshire News" knows, Change is NOT good. So I need another nokia, I've got a 6500S-1 here which seems alright, not too much fancy crap, but the screen's bust and it's on 3 network (I'm on 02).

Anyone got a spare screen or know how to un-lock one?

Do what I've did with several phones in the past took it to the market and used one of the 'repairers' to unlock it.

Think its a tenner.

Did the nokia die a heroic death?

Go to a local phone shop and most unlock it for a tenner.

yc, you can get a new phone for £15 with £10 credit on it, presumably on any network, so not really worth paying for new screen and then to unlock it as well, unless you really want that phone of course.

Brick with a car battery

Sadly not a heroic death, it just died randomly which is amazing since this phone has had at least five years of being dropped, kicked, crashed, immersed in petrol, soaked and run over without damage

You could prob buy one cheaper than unlocking/repairing.. carphone w/house doing the slightly updated 2330 for 25 quid including a £10 top-up! All the "Payg" phones I've bought for the kids come from them, not locked to any network

Oh dear, folks in order for YC to be fully functional in the modern world, people really have to give hims some reet proper bargains.

You see theres Yorkshire tight, and then theres YC tight....which happens to be water tight

Yorkshiremen, just like the scots without the generosity.
I looked at all the deals like that but I want to keep my number, and to go through O2 is bloody dear.

So ordered a screen for this (free) 6500, for £5.50, so if that works just need to get it unlocked and I'm back in business for just over a tenner.

Meanwhile I have a samsung (yeuch) to see me through for the meantime
