Default Pointy Seat Unit on Curvy?

Hi Guys,
I much prefer the pointy style seat unit to the earlier curvy one and wondered how hard it would be to swap them over? I have searched but cant immediately find anything!
Many Thanks
Ben

pointy looks, profesionally made so no fitting issues, no need for new rear subframe

That's awesome, thanks. I guess the standard rear light would fit.
So you would say it would be a whole subframe job to put the OE parts on?

Yes, and trying to do it with OEM parts isn't that easy.

Check Leebex's thread

as yc loves saying anything can be done, BUT why do it the hard way, you would need the new subframe or seriously mess around with the old one, even with the new one you'd prob have to mod it to fit, then add on the oem parts, inc single seat cowl and mucking about it just doesnt seem worth it to me , as for the rear light ,i dont know just drop them a email as they have always been known to be a helpful bunch (especially if your buying something from them )

Ewwwwww, that is ugly.

Given the choice of that or working really hard to make a pointy unit fit, I would go for the pointy!

I have been saying for ages that the curvy has a far prettier frame, but the pointy has far prettier plastics. The two need to be combined, I would love to see a Curvy frame with pointy everything else and maybe some GSXR USD forks. I so wish I had thousands of pounds to waste on toy projects and and my own work shop...

As it is, our hall way is a workshop in which we are working on the XJ lump. No room to swing a cat in our place at the moment (yes, I have tried!).
