for those who use facebook, you have to sign it to view.

those who dont, this is what it says.

Petrol price slash..........make the joke on them!!!!!

Lets force the government to lower the taxation on fuel at fill up stations. in theory to lower their prices, please just make sure you don't visit a fuel station on April the 1st, just simply you ensure that you have fuel in your car on that day so you do not have to fill/top up. this will create a massive back log and loss of profit for just one day will make them think that if we threaten to do this often we can make a difference PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND MAKE THE JOKE (APRIL 1ST) ON THEM! NEWS HAS JUST REPORTED PETROL COULD GO UP TO AS MUCH AS £2 PER LITRE CAN ANYONE AFFORD THAT???................. PLEASE HELP!

could be what i'd call 'a plan'!

Erm ok so days worth of sales just gets spread over the week before or the week after?

No wonder the government think we are stupid when Joe public comes up with daft plans like that!

+1 to Mr Speirs

This crap happens all too often. People need fuel, it doesn't matter if you buy it one day, or another, you're gonna have to buy it eventually, thusly nullifying the whole point of the "protest"...

Some times people really need to think things through a little harder.

so when a loaf of bread goes up to a fiver and your boss wont give you a wage rise what you going to do then?

judging by a lot of attitudes on here, you are just going to bend over and say 'more please'.

It wouldn't even take much more thinking to not sound like an idiot...

I am not saying I am happy about anything to go on with fuel costs, but, if you are really concerned you should not buy fuel for a week and get to work by some means that does not burn fossil fuels.

Not buying fuels on one particular day will do sod all to the fuel costs...

Who knows. But not buying fuel on April 1st won't help. Most people are far too apathetic and a couple of percent drop in daily sales won't make anyone take heed, do they even monitor it daily?

The protests like we had in 2000 might help, causing widespread disruption is likely the only way to get anywhere.

There are not enough truckers left in the UK t do the rolling road blocks and/or blockade of refineries any more, they have all had to pack it in because of fuel costs...
