Default TLC after 2 years in garage.

My bike has been in the garage for two years and it's time to come back out again! But before it getsa going again I wanted to fix it up a bit. It has been a little bit neglected in general and obviously hasn't got any better in storage.

Looking at the rear subframe (which is now off the bike) there are several areas of rust bulging through the paint. I'm sure that it is sound in terms of structure but I would like to tidy it up a bit so was wondering on the best approach. I have flaked off the worst of the rust so far with a wire brush. Should I Hammerite, prime-paint-laquer, epoxy, .... any others?

More in general... is there anything that I should do but will forget to before trying to start it up again. (No surprises but the battery doesn't look to have done so well over the time)

P.S. I hope you like my washing line!

Take the plugs out and squirt a little engine oil down the cylinders, and put it in 5th and turn it over with the back wheel to get the oil around in there it will help on start up.

Hope your misses didn't forget to get the washing in this evening.

Just do it all, don't skimp on anything. I agree with Husky.
