Default Random right hand indicator behaviour

My SV1000s indicators have started acting up. I will pull it apart this weekend to see what I can find but I just wanted any advice that might help me locate the problem.

Indicating left is fine, normal flashing no problem. Indicating right is fine sometimes but then for no reason (not turning the bars, just sitting at junctions is when I notice it) both the front and rear right hand indicators flash really fast like when a bulb has gone - except both of them are doing it at the same time! Then it will start flashing normally on its own. Loose connection perhaps? Dodgy earth?

Thoughts oh wise ones of the 'org?

think mines down to wiring though

it also may be as simple as a slightly loose bulb mate, may be worth a quick derust and check behind the lens

Hi there, did you manage to find the cause of this problem? My SV650S has started to do this intermittently on both left and right hand side bulbs (although the left side seems a little more erratic than the right). Normal behaviour usually when at low speeds but flash quickly/erratically at higher speeds/braking. Getting worried about it as they stopped working completely when I came to a stop at a junction tonight. But then started working again a few miles down the road... fuse? bulbs? Wiring? As I have moved, I have to keep the bike outside but it's always been under a bike cover to offer some protection from the elements...

Any advice?

Finally remembered to do this! Took the rear indicator lens off and found that the little screw holding the bulb holder in place was about to fall out. Tightened it up and its been fine all this week - sometimes its the simplest things!
