Default fork seals, whats the best way to change?

hi peeps

got the MOT at the end of the month and noticed a bit of oil on the l/h fork slider tube thing, where it goes in the plastic dust cover.

any one know of a quick way of replacing them?

might change the oil at the same time whats the best stuff to get being on the heavy side of 15ish st.

thanks

Good morning.

There's no quick way around it. You'll have to strip the forks to replace the seals.

Cheers.

Indeed, doesn't take long though.

LOL. All that faffing about with car positioning and jacks and spraying engine oil up the walls - sometimes the right way is actually the easy way.

What a load of *rsing about.
Bet I can have the job done right before you've finished pinging the fork around the garage when the jack slips

By the way I like to apply a simple test to things like that. If they were daft enough to buy a cruiser, are they really intelligent enough to trust with mechanical advice?
