Default Riding without lights?

Hi all, I'm looking at getting my SV650 resprayed soon, and I'll have to take the front fairing off, which means no lights, or indicators, or mirrors.

Just wondering, what are the consequences of riding without these, with respect to the law. And what are the chances of being done for it.

Cheers.

you dont need the lights off there held on differently to the cowls, so no need to remove
indicators you'll need ,strangely mirrors are optional

Same, I think they're fixed on the S model.

I think I'll ride without it then, and fasten the indicators to the front of my bike some how (tape, plastic ties)

How far is it? Hand signal's have sufficed for me in the past - if not cable ties will be your best bet I would have thought.

I'd only really be using it 2 miles each way, 5 days a week.

no on curvys and pointies your lights can be attached to your front subframe ,you can remove the fairing while still attaching it to the front sub

easy enough to do

If it is only two miles, then walk or use a push bike! You have legs I take it!

For two miles I would even consider the bus over a fine for riding a bike that is not road worthy because you took the indicators and lights off!

Mind you, if you live up a dark and leafy lane in Transilvania, I would stay on the roads and not accept any lifts in dark Carriages!

dont know about the curvy but the pointy lights are attached to the front cowl and not the subframe so you will have no lights if you take the front cowl off.
