Default Yet another cage insurance rant

Current insurer's quote is £1024.88, a quick visit to compare some meerkats and I have £825.74 (or £766 something if I don't protect my NCB, which I of course will be doing!) as my best.

It was £689 last year, this new ridiculous amount is BEFORE you take in whatever effect my being rear-ended in August adds onto it.

(rant over)

Being rear ended can be quite expensive.

You could try a bigger excess and unprotected NCB it can knock up to a couple of hundred off, for me it concentrates the mind on not having an accident

The £825 is £400 excess and protected.

I really wish I'd bought some old POS now.

Hmm kinda sporty really. Have you tried carole nash's 6 wheel policy?
My SV and my Mitsubishi are less than £800 a year. I only have 2 years NCB in a car.

That's interesting, never heard of that. It's a good idea.

Unfortunately the car is done in April but the bike is not due until the end of August.

Ring them up and ask, mine expired at different times but they brought them into line for me. I already had my bike insured with them and then did the car. You could start with the car and then in 4 months move the bike over.
