Default Ever bought the wrong bike?

Last year I felt the urge for a change. I was riding a 2006 600rr at the time, I loved the bike, but wanted to try something different as my knees are not best.

I ended up test riding a 796 Hypermotard and loved the way the bike handled, it was just really under powered. Then I tried the 1100S and it was great. So back in November I traded the 600rr in for a new 1100S. Then I spent a small fortune making it perfect with the right extras and a bigger fuel tank etc.

The hyper has done about 1800 miles now and the novelty has really worn off. I properly miss the rush of sports bike

Summer is coming and I want a sportsbike again

So who's bought the wrong bike in the past? lol

I was given a Honda VT500C import after I passed my test. It turned out to be over-priced, given it's reliability.

That's not the wrong bike G, that's the right bike at the right time. Now its the right bike at the wrong time.

So you need a new right bike for the right time.

You loved it initially so it couldn't be the wrong bike.

Kinda the SV, if I'm honest. Testrode it, took it for a blast up some dual carriageway and onto the motorway, and loved it.

Forgot that I'd be riding through town on my way to work, and my wrists never forgave me.

Neither did the missus after our 150 mile trip to Hertfordshire.

When were you last out on it?

You picking the right roads? My SV for example frustrates the hell out of me on m/ways or open A roads. Show it a B road and its a load of fun.

We are doing the right roads, although I think we do the same ones a bit too much too which maybe adding to it.

I can't wait til the weather gets consistantly better though, be the first time I can use my hyper in anger. I only caught the tail end of last year and at that time was getting used to the bike.

Oh I'm picking the right roads, I've been all over on it in the past few weekends. 600+ miles on all kinds of different roads in the last coulpe of weeks.

I just prefer the riding style of sports bikes, and prefer the smooth high reving IL4 engines. Riding the hyper is just hard work. I guess I have established that I am a lazy rider. I like to ride hard when I want to, but I like to chill out sometimes too.

Ah well you live and learn... probably rushed into getting it to be honest.

Hopefully I'll work out a good part/ex deal real soon without taking to much of a hit on the original purchase price, let alone all the £££ spent on extras lol.
