Hey Guys,
This is my first time using a forum so I guess I'm a forum virgin. Just after a bit of help at the moment I've just bought a full bike galfer speed upgrade and goodridge braided hoses with shadow fittings for my SV, just waiting to put them on but now I've decided I want USD Forks first. I've already got a buyer for my stock SV forks and I'm happy enough to sell the front galfers if I need to buy GSXR discs and pads. Just need some help on which Gixxer Forks to put on. The easiest set for me to get my hands on are a front end from a GSXR 1000cc k7 but from America I can get GSXR 600/750 forks from years 2000 through to 2009. Any help and advice welcome Cheers Guys |

You can use any forks with the SV head stock, you just need the corresponding clip-ons and front wheel spindle & spacers.
I fitted GSXR 750 K7 forks also. The SV front wheel slots straight in, just got to be careful about disc size and calliper acceptance. Luckily for me Thou' discs are 310mm, same as GSXR 750 K7's ![]() If you need any more info feel free to PM me |

So if I can keep the front SV front wheel, does that mean my new galfer discs will fit in the callipers? I guess I'll have to get new GSXR 750 galfer pads but if the discs meant for SV can fit in the GSXR callipers than thats a winner. Or am I being to hopeful?

Bugger! Okay so I need a new wheel, new disks and pads to match the front end. Is there any reason why the goodridge braided hoses I've ordered wont fit the GSXR callipers or master cylinder?

if they are a duel line setup they will but just be a bit long (depending on what bars you use).
i could write a full list of what you need but it might scare you. its the little things that increase the cost. one more thing to remember is how heavy are you? as the K7 forks are quite stiff. if your under 12st then look at the K4-5 gsxr 600-750 forks. or its going to be a spring swap for the K7 ones. I'm feeling brave. That would be a massive help too.
I'm scouting out e bay and looking at spending a bit under £500 for a complete front end minus the wheel. I guess if I want the Galfers as well I'll have to buy some more. |

On the contrary, I got told to use K7 GSXR 750 forks because I only weigh 10 1/2 stone and they have worked fine for me so far
