ARTNW Friday afternoon optional ride

Just a thought. I know that some will have had a long ride Friday and will want to chill. But if peeps would like a short ride on Friday pm, say about 4 or 5 ish, then let's ride over to Ironbridge for a Coke. It's about 23 miles from Wem, via Shrewsbury, it's a nice ride too, especially the road from Atcham to Ironbridge. It will be totally informal, no markers, just follow me, and no obligation or whatever.

Ironbridge is an interesting spot, you can walk across the oldest iron bridge (hence the name). We'd come back either the way we came (as it's a nice twisty road) or alternatively through Buildwas into Much Wenlock, and back on the A458 across Wenlock Edge.

I'm in, but might just meet you in Shrewsbury, or you could swing by my house and pick me up.

Yeah, I'll probably have a couple of shandies on the afternoon so I won't go.

Nice thought Ed but I think that the idea of relaxing with a glass of wine or two mid afternoon will be very attractive so no riding for me til Saturday either....... besides we`ll have to have a toast to the newlyweds

probably not, not sure what our ETA is, but my tyre probably wont last an extra friday ride out too... lol

Well I have a Monster ride down to get there, so Friday afternoon is for chilling, meeting new faces, and drinking ale!

It would be nice to visit my old watering holes, however I think I will be spending the first couple of hours erecting and inflating. No doubt beer will also feature quite high on the list of priorities
