Fuel Pump Compatibility? - SV650.org

Hi All,

A friend of mine (who isnt on this forum) is on the look out for a replacement fuel pump for a K4 SV650S having been quoted a silly price for a new one.

Does anybody know as to the interchangability of K3/K4 pumps with K5+. I seem to remember there being a change at some point to add a double level reserve indication?

Or as per usual I could be completly wrong.

Any advice would be much appriciated

Up to k3 it uses a white plug to power it, beyond that a brown plug. Give them a ring first to check and order just to make sure.

Sorted thanks, he's ordered one from SV spares, needed a White plugged one for his K4 it would seem.

K3 Job c.v: Engine:remove/split/rebuild/refit. Replace:Gearbox,Fuel pump,Gaskets. Piston clean,rings. Overhaul:Throttle body,Injectors,Brakes,Forks. Remove/refit:Exhaust,Radiator,Oil cooler,Throttle,Air filter,Tank. Replace: Oil,Coolant,grease,brake hoses & bleed.
