Default VIN Number location needed asap!

i have my UK originated bike booked in to be registered here in ireland at 10.00am tomorrow morning and for this i need to know the location of the VIN number plate. i need to be able to point it out to the tester. could anyone tell me where this is?? and the engine number aswell just in case.

its a 2005 SV 650s so has the fairings.... please tell me i dont have to remove them? thanks.

The VIN is stamped on the right hand side of the steering head.

The engine number is stamped on the left side of crankcase.

Exactly what i needed guys, thanks for that. Id say my fairings cover the crankcase so hopefully the tester will be happy enough with the steering head!

My frame number and engine number is also on a plate riveted on the frame on the RHS?

Cheers guys. Got it all sorted this morning. I didnt get asked where the VIN number was at all though, girl tester walked straight up to the bike and new exactly where to look! Typical though, if i hadnt had posted this thread and didnt know where to look then guaranteed the tester wouldnt have known either! Anyway, at least i know where to find them now!
