The nerve that goes to your fingers runs round the outside of your elbow.... Get it checked. It could be the swelling pushing on the nerve, or you could have done something nasty. I know the medical profession are generally to be avoided but in this case I'd make an exception...

get it checked Q.

My mum had her elbow clipped years ago by a slow moving bus in the town centre. She had bruising the day after, and lost grip in her fingers.
Its all down to the nerves in the elbow, similar to carpal tunnel thingy,

She had an op last year, as her arm deteriorated, and she couldn't even hold a teacup in one hand, she had pins and needles all the time. She ignored it all those years. She had an op because it had gotten serious because of ignorance. There was a chance after the op, it could make things worse. She now has a massive scar around the elbow where they operated. The strange thing is, although she damaged her elbow all those years ago, it was actually her something in her shoulder which had taken the real damage, which messed up the nerves in her elbow....weird, but the experts know best.
Thankfully now she can hold a cup....but one finger still gets pins and needles.

March yersen down the Docs!!!!

TBH, I wouldn't bother seeing a GP about it, you're probably better off popping down to your local A+E to get it x-rayed (your GP will only send you there anyway!).

Although I obviously haven't seen your injury, it is unlikely to be anything major. Elbows are fairly robust things and it takes quite a lot to cause a bony injury. It sounds more likely to be a soft tissue injury. Try taking some ibuprofen (if you are able to take them) and see how you go. If no improvement in 24 hrs, go to A+E.

And before anyone gets pi55y, yes, I AM medically trained. I'm not house trained, but I am medically trained.

well the good news is that its still hurts which means I'm still here.

The fingers have regained some grip not an awful lot but think there's is still residual injury from wakeboarding.
the bruise is rather spectacular and its quite tender but hey - its on recovery

Thanks for all your help guys and gals in making feel not so worried about it!!

You're gonna die

Your arm will go all black, with a tinge of magenta then it will fall off . The blood will then spurt out and you'll drown.

But as a cure, bang the other elbow harder and you'll soon forget the first one.

See, cured...

Doc Brian will send the invoice shortly. Payment in whisky will be acceptable.
