Default What kind of bird is this!? (Calling MYC?)

Just spotted this wee thing scoffing some breadcrumbs on my patio, any ideas what it is?

Can't say I've seen any birds quite as bright a yellow as this other than the exotic types.

This was taken 1 second before the neighbours cat tried to eat it (the cat was subsequently greeted with a large jug of cold water being thrown at it!), so I might never see it back here again.

Aha, could well be Keef'miester..

Canary:

Almost certain it's not a warbler, well going by that picture at least (I'd hate for anyone to think I actually knew what I was talking about!)

i does like birdies, feathered kind naturally. On first name terms with many in my garden. I have an extremely friendly Robin who comes and digs with me when im weeding, he hops about the same patch im working on, often less than 2 or 3 foot from me

It'll be a dead bird soon. I don't fancy it's chances with all that fancy canary singing it'll be blasting out.
