Good job they didn't leave him in case he sued them for not using a spinal board.

As injury_ian commented, you don't need to wear a lid in the USA as all cars are made of jello.

That's brilliant!

It just goes to show that people are OK really.

Just imagine, tyring to lift a large car like that. I've seen a whole crew of Firemen struggle, yet they just popped it up. Just goes to show what adrenaline can do!

Well done to them all.

They did a great job getting him out, but then just leave him there without even checking to see if he had a pulse. I'm guessing they thought he was dead (and by rights he ought to have been) but it would have been a sad ending if he had died simply through a lack of basic first aid. Still, a happy ending as he was awake and talking the next day.

I saw this report on yahoo earlier, but my stupid internet couldn't stream the vid.

A cracking team effort by a bunch of strangers. I'm surprised he wasn't crushed.
