Default ECM

Is there a test you can perform to show if the ECM is not operating as it should or is completely buggered

Generally not, what bike and what symptoms. Most of the time if the ecu is buggered the bike wont go.

SV650 K3. It now won't bring the starter motor in or pressurise the fuel pump on ignition switch on. I have checked every wire, connection and safety switch and all is working well. Also checked the relays and they too are also good. Every part seems to work fine individually, leading me to think the ECU is now the culprit.
Is there a test of power or continuity i can do across the ecu to see if power is getting there, or being sent out?

Have you checked/replaced the main fuse (worth changing as not always obvious its gone) and checked the fuse holder connections?.

yeah i have checked all fuses and connections. All fuses look good and have power going to them. Nope, pc3 is still on the bike and wired in.
I don;t know if this is relevant r not, when turning off the ignition a few dashes of led take a slight delay in clearing off the screen. could this be a sign of anything?

have you checked the fuel pump actually is getting power and not just checked it at the fuel pump connector fly lead. could it be shorted? im sure there is a way to check the pump is working by bypassing the ecm and disconnecting the fuel line and allowing fuel to run into a measuring jug by powering the pump direct from the battery.

it's all sorted out now, thankfully the ecm wasn't at fault, neither was any other part.
it now runs and makes a glorious noise! fingers crossed for MOT time tomorrow.
Thanks for your help guys!
