Default Insurance question

I dropped my bike against a family members car earlier, nice small dent in the door I was on my home addresses drive at the time, can i claim on my insurance under these conditions?

I have no idea how much the type of dent costs to repair, doesn't look that bad at all (no paint off). I do have empty credit cards to pay for it myself, but i am poor at the moment!. Im just looking at worst case scenario really.

Cant get any repair quotes until tomorrow.

Thanks all

If the paint isnt damaged those magic dent guys are very good, they charge about £50 - £75 per panel last time I looked. It's best if the dent is away from an edge or seam. Cheaper than any insurance excess?

A panel repair and spray can be as little as 50 ,I dare say your excess will be more than that alone let alone the premium hike you'll suffer

If you bang a pic up it'll be easier to assess.
Quiff's on holiday and he's the dent master

Mate, you'd be bonkers to send this minor damage through the insurance, you'll pay for it twice over at least.

I know, and its hugely unlikely i ever would, just checking I mean the dents are tiny, i half caught it as it went down, cant see it being over my excess anyway.

As for photos, ill post some tomorrow, but they are very small, nothing much to see. The car is a RX8 in gloss black, the panels are so thin and easy to dent.

trust me on this one !! don't claim !!!! its not worth it from sounds of it ! don't give the fekcer an excuse to increase your premium !!! they will anyway but don't give them a claim to help them make their profit !
