Its worse when they do it to a business line and your company has no internet for 4 days.
My Job as I.T was to route all traffic down several Mifi's lol ! quality stuff.

If you have a half decent mobile phone you should be able to turn it into a mifi and share the data connection from your phone with a laptop/pc.

How far we have come in ten years. Remember when we used to walk to a shop to get food, and put a cheque in the post, or send a letter! Or when 16Mb was a lot.

First systems I played with (GEC 4080) had a whole 64K of core and coped well for my number crunching. I then worked on naked minis with 64 Kwords (128 Kbyte) running about 10 concurrent processes with over 100 overlays. Then CV CADDS running a dozen graphic terminals again with 64Kwords. When I finally got my hands on a VAX with a virtual memory architecture I had gone to heaven. No more would I have to separate common blocks in common between the application processes and common between process overlays. My god I even had an operating system instead of swapping out the development environment in order to run the programme.

Kids today, you don't know you are born. Now back when I was running General Automation 8 bit mini for signal analysis in 1977 it took over an hour to bootstrap the tape reader in order to IPL the thing.....God I feel old.

It was my response to 16MB was a lot. in other words I used to run the world in 64K.

And that might be nibbles, bytes or words.
