Well done to Casey Stoner.
Stoner wins and Rossi falls...that is the story of the year right there. |

Shames about the 2 missing Yamaha's. Really showed up how little bikes are competing in the GP.
Shame about Bautistas fall and Crutchlow is having a horrid season. Let's hope the Ducati's are sorted out for next season as I'd like to see Hayden doing better too. |

The Rossi crash was quite interesting. He was lucky not to take Bautista with him and was very lucky that Bautista didnt hit him. Very simialr to the Jerez incident with Stoner.
I also noticed he gave up straight away and made no attempt to get on back and then kinda tried for the look of the thing. Stoner has been awesome and too good. And he can ride the Ducati... |

With Rossi I thought he was waiting for the stewards to lift the bike up for him and then try and get back on but they started wheeling it off. It was as if he had to stop them!

Rossi says he has no idea why the Ducati went on him. That just sums it up.

The lack of riders looked awful, 14 wasn't it? It doesn't look so much of a spectacle. I know a couple of guys were out hurt but whats the reason for the small grid size, purely financial? Do they have any plans to reduce the spec/ standards to make it easier for non factory or even other factory teams to compete?

Yes, the CRT teams will eventually take over the Moto-GP grid and take it back to a decent format.
I'm looking forward too it, a GP championship with teams like Ten Kate, Aspar and Paul Bird running factory engines on special frames. They'll be well behind to start off with but hopefully they'll start to challenge within a couple of years.

I'm also looking forward to Bautista finishing a race now the Suzuki can run well near the front. Let's hope the 1000cc engine is up to it for next year!

Allowing crt into motogp is good and bad. More bikes equal more racing. But Casey Stoner will still be 10 seconds in the lead anyhow. Just hope the new bikes are at least competitive and not mobile chicanes.
Motogp is supposed to be the ultimate in motorsport. This shotgun marriage between superbike and gp is not one I see much about. I fear the prototype status of motogp could be lost on the spikes of hard tines. Looks like the organisation knows motogp is getting ditch water dull and the lower classes are where the crack is. Fair enough. |
