Me and a couple of lads from work are heading down that way next weekend for the Dirt Bike show, having never set foot before in the place, could anyone please offer any pointers where to head for a flaggon of ale and a skeg at some wenches of an evening?
2 of us are 29 (and taken, so more ale than wenches for us ![]() Cheers JM |

Cant remember most of the areas now, but there is a cinema complex with a Jumping Jacks, few bars and a couple of clubs on the ring road. The A45 side.
In the centre there are loads of studenty pubs too. Its not that big so you will soon find the action. Moved out 7 years ago so it might have changed a bit. |

Cool, cheers - we're staying in the IBIS City Centre, so where would we head from there (just a direction or place to aim for would be great?)

That will be the Spon street area then. I know it well ![]() ![]() Not a bad area to start for a beer to be honest. As for directions, you wont miss the sky dome complex or the massive IKEA thats next to it if your in the centre ![]() |

Well, time to dust off this creaky old thread, splash a bucket of cold water in it's face and revive it as in about 20 mins or so I'll be jetting off to sunny (?!) Coventry again for this year's Dirt Bike Show.
I've a feeling that last time we may have staggered across Spon Street on the hunt for some 3am food - might actually try and venture into a pub or two down there this time. Any & all suggestions for this time welcomed again, cheers in advance folks. JM |

Can anyone give us a suggestion of somewhere to eat in Cov? We're obv looking in the wrong places but we can't find anything like a decent British pub grub type place anywhere?! Staying in the Ibis so most places in the centre are walkable?
Cheers |
