Default Is this suitable Axle grease and Full Service price?

I recently bought some Comma CV Lith-Moly grease from Halfords, is this suitable for using on the rear Axle? (It's the black stuff) Probably a stupid question.

Now on to the main topic. My bike is due a service, off the top of my head I think it was last serviced at somewhere between 16 - 18k. It now has 25k miles on it. I got a quote from a local garage for £220 labour + parts which I was told should only add about another £50 on top, so roughly £270. This would be all fluids changed, Shims checked and changed if needed, wheel bearing checked etc and a general look over everything on the bike. Would you consider this a good price? To me it sounds like a great price for what it includes but I've never had to have a full service done on a bike before so am not sure what the average costs would be.

Sounds good for shims and all fluids - I got charged £110 just for checking the shims.

Have a word with Berlin - he MAY be able to spare the time & you'd learn a helluva lot about the bike and save loads in future.
See your sig: Previously known as "ECH0", now "ECHO CHAMBER"

I would like to do the service myself, even better with help but right now I just want to get it done as it's running like cr@p at the moment. Plus £270 for all fluids, carb synch, wheel bearings, shims checked/replaced, full inspection of the bike, CCTs checked (rear is ticking), plugs changed and some more stuff but I can't remember off the top of my head.

Next time it's due a service I will seek help in getting it done myself so I can learn more about the bike but for now I'm just going to take it to this local garage as I trust them, they've done excellent jobs for me in the past.
