Default Advice on Gladius

Hi, Having sold my 57 plate SV650s in March I've now decided that the withdrawel symptoms are telling me something - get another one!! I've been looking at 09 plate SV's & a Gladius. I know how the SV's feel & perform, but not the Gladius. Has anybody switched from the SV to Gladius that could help me decide? Thanks.

Never had an SV but switched from a V Strom to a Gladius after this years european tour..

Better engine, fairly powerful, with good engine braking, and good handling once you switch the shock for a GSXR one. It's a good package and remarkably cheap (mine was an 09 with 750mls for £2900 off a dealer). Better can replacement is about £75 and plastic frame covers come off easily. Minimal wind blast until you hit 70. Brakes average. Sounds meaty.

It's very uncomfortable after an hour on the saddle though, even worse than my Bonnie, and they're bad. Needs a sheepskin.

Overall, a great fun bike and prices low due to the styling not being to everyone's taste. I love mine and haven't regretted buying it for one second. Usual Suzuki V twin simple maintenance and the build quality is pretty good.

Best bargain in the market. You'll love it.

It won't look as good as an SV whilst parked outside the pub!

They grow on you after a while

Really like mine now although the next job is to paint the rearsets black - they get black anyway from rubbing against your boots
