thats crazy for a watch but then again its all about the brand. i belive i read somewhere about 10 most popular/wanted brands or product by the public and rolex was up there i belive along with some other crazy priced things that only the select few could afford.

I've never understood the expensive watch thing.

No one can tell unless you look closely that it's a Rolex or whatever. A lad at work has a £2000 Rolex, it's real, we checked it the other week. And that's his day to day watch! He has a more expensive one for special occasions.

Why pay so much?

It's just a watch FFS.

I've got a clock on my phone. It's great!

Is the rolex waterproof to 100 metres like my old casio £9.99 thingy?

Pegs Omega was pretty expensive, came with an expensive price too, when it needed repairing twice after totally breaking down!

A watch is a watch..........I haven't worn one for several years, no need for one really, Peg on the otherhand...has quite a fancy for stupidly overpriced timepieces

I have several special watches for those rare occasions when a pretty watch is a must and each one of them is worth more to me than that one ever could be. This is not because they are a particular brand, but because they were gifts from friends, some of whom I lost touch with long ago. There is no value to a cheap watch, but a memory can be precious for the whole of your life.

I broke so many watches at work that I just haven't bothered wearing one for years!

Its 007's special watch, the one with the super duper magnetic field & special cutting thingy

That's why its soooooooooo expensive.

I'm the same as BP, just buy cheapo watches because I break so many at work.
