Default Sticky ignition barrel tip

Sticky ignition tip

If like me your ignition barrel is starting to get harder to turn don't waste money on lock lube.

Split a pencil in half down its length with a Stanley knife and remove the lead. ( any colour pencil will do )

Either file or sand the lead into a powder onto a piece of paper.

Fold the paper in half and pour into your ignition barrel using your key to work lead into the barrel. ( obviously you won't need a full pencils worth, I used about an inch of lead. Too much can gum the barrel up. Best to use a little bit at a time until you have a free turning lock )

Your lock should free up and you have saved money on lock lube.

Use the saved coin for mince pies, Alcohol ect ect...

Job jobbed!!

Save all that effort, just put a couple of pencils in a blender

But all the same, its a good tip as that all that lock lube is, graphite powder

I just throw some ordinary grease/lube down the keyhole.
Works for me.
