Quite high, but I'd be more concerned about the service history, mileage & condition and how it sounds engine wise

Most curvies have a noisy camchain, but its usually something inside the tensioner that's rattling, not the camchain. But make sure its not the camchain

At that age inspection and condition is much more important. Also if it passes inspection use your "doubts" about number of owners to get the price down to where you want it.

Let's not forget these bikes are often picked up as first big bikes too. Often as not they get moved on after a year or so because the owners think they have outgrown the SV and want to move on to something a little more refined. My bike is a 2002 model and I'm the ninth registered keeper.

It could go either way. I'm the 3rd owner of my 2000 naked. And it was mistreated to say the least. I payed £250 for it because of the state.

Probably realised they should have got a pointy.
![]() Other than that, as previously said some people see the SV as a stepping stone to a bigger bikes. |

That's normal even for a new one!! Its not a problem, the rear tensioner gets filled with oil (crappy Suzuki design). I wouldn't worry about it and wouldn't even bother trying to sort it. Mine's been rattling for the last 80,000 miles. |
