Hi all, I have seen a lot of threads on removing the top of the air box, spacers and a snorkelectomy but does anyone run velocity stacks on their carbs?
I know from when I owned a classic mini that if you simply removed the air filter and just had an open carb the air would be turbulent around the edges of the carb, hence the need for velocity stacks to give a curve to the airflow going into the carb. My engine will be race only, but has anyone tried running velocity stacks on their bike - of course the jetting would need to be adjusted. Also found this guide to a few different setups with carb setup and the intake mods: http://www.svrider.com/articles/2001jul_carbs.htm |
