Default Electronic Cigarettes - Recomendation please

Well hello organs.

What a week! Mum has just had a heart opeartion and a contributing factor was her smoking. So, as from Sunday of last week she has decided that she is to quit smoking. She is going to use all the aids that are avilable, but she really wants to try one of the electronic cigarettes.

So does anyone use one? Which one is it? Are they any good?

Mum has been smoking for over 40 years so going complete cold turkey i think will be hard for her.

Sorry to hear about your mum, best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Chap I used to work with, used the Nicorrette one, he said he felt a bit of a pratt in the smoking shelter at work using it, it looks more like you are smoking a Bic biro than a cigarette, but he said it was quite effective and it helped him kick the habbit.

I think it was more the felt that he felt like he was smoking with it, rather than just the nicotine hit on its own.

Good info here: http://ukvapers.com/

What I've been using for a year: http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co....-products.html

Use it everywhere. Gets me seats in the pub when I sit down and start toking away on it. On the plane, in the office, at gigs.

Bad points are initial expense and its not quite like smoking a fag. More like a joint.

Does the job though. Good luck.

Thanks guys. The nicorette one is awful. However after some research mum has gone for a NUCig. One of the main reasons for this is that a local chemist stocks them. So she has bought a trail fag and she likes it. So will probably get a kit.

This is what I used to quit over 2 years ago.

When I was in hospital after my first accident I was in there for 2 weeks and laid up so couldn't get out of bed, no fake smoke but you can feel the nicotine intake when you inhale.
When I came out of hospital I continued to use it for a few more weeks and then stopped altogether.
I still have the odd one or two when I go out on the beer but I'm in control of it and its not that often.
I don't know what it is but after a few pints you can't beat the odd ciggy
I was smoking 10-15 a day before this for a good 4-5 years.
Best thing I ever did.

Hey Viney

GF uses the "Super" kit from TECC:

http:wvw.theelectroniccigarette.co.uk/

Very happy with it so far, makes life in the UK much easier being able to "smoke" everywhere

All the best for your Mum, seen everything on Facebook...
