We must be planning to become as corrupt as FIFA??

£8m spent to get Redknapp to court I don't think the CPS is finished with him yet!

Capello resigns over the Terry captaincy business is that the reason he gave? Then, I think he's a freaking coward using it as an excuse. Good riddance!

Probably the excuse he was looking for & leaves them with a problem to solve before the Euro's.

New sub plot, Mafia pays him to leave to help Italy's chances.

I'm glad it's not this complicated in cricket anymore. Andrew Strauss is far too polite to ever scream obscenities at anyone, racist or otherwise. And we have a Team Director who could be killed if he ever returns to the country of his birth for making a stand against the evil regime there. And neither gets paid silly money.

Imo, Capello was good for England, he stopped all the primadona sh*t, got some discipline back and we started to look like a strong force again.

The FA know FA about football and before every major tournament there is controversary of some king and people wonder why we cant win the major trophies.

No doubt they will employ a yes man again, thats the only sort they seem to like and give long contracts to.

I don't think he was that good for England. With results that consistently mediocre, if he'd been a Premier League manager he would have been given the boot months ago. Harry Rednap may be a tax-dodging (allegedly), treacherous barsteward who left Portsmouth as soon as the going got tough, but he can at least tell players what he wants in their own language. Although apparently only verbally, as he claims not to be able to write a note or letter, type, text, use a computer of any sort or send an email. I have to assume that if they still use whiteboards for team talks, that he must at least be able to draw arrows on it.

Firstly I must say I know nothing about football, but even I can see that Capello was going to 'resign' today. By the time the BBC are talking about Rednapp being tipped to be the next England manager on the news reports it would seem that everyone knew, just nobody had announced it yet.

Love football, and good to every game Middlesbrough I can get to but I just can't get excited by the current England squad. Bunch of thugs.
