Default Speedo drive ratios?

hi there guys,
I have a been turning my curvy 650 into a cafe racer over the winter and I have come across a problem ....... I was going to fit a bandit speedo drive with a cable so I can run a small chrome backed speedo in stead of putting the standard clocks back on. does anyone no what ratio the speedo drive on a bandit ( e.g 1:1 or 2:1 ) is because I have got a choice of clocks and I don't want to spend £50 and the have to send it back.

any replies would be appreciated.

The Bandits have used a few methods of driving the speedo, my early 600 ('9 used a mechanically spinning cable from a gear on the front wheel. All SVs use an electronic sender in the wheel spacer, and then that sends pulses to an electronic speedo.

You're probably going to have to check the years to make sure you don't get caught out.

If the front end's all fitted, get the front up on a paddock stand and turn the wheel through one complete turn.

At the same time, check the end of the speedo cable and count the revolutions - might be easier to see if you put a wee "flag" of tape on it.

The post 2001 (k1's) bandits have electronic speedos, I think a couple of people have been able to graft them onto curvy's
