Default Should my hugger rub the tool box?

My previous SV, a K3 had a hugger which fitted well. I have now bought a K5 and a hugger for it. However the hugger is touching the tool box and rubbing. Is this normal - I have been assured this is, but it doesn't sound right to me (in fact it seems that the hugger is made for the K3)? If normal I will live with it, otherwise I will send it back and get a better fitting one.

I wouldn't expect any bit of body work to rub as standard.

The K3 & K5 have different height sub-frames, and as a result the toolbox was relocated from being under the seat to being in a seperate box. If this hasn't been factored in then you will get issues. Speak to the company that supplied it, and ask if they're aware of this. Get one that fits or something will rub through or break at some point.

I don't know what make it was - it was bought second hand. I have returned it and will order another. The hugger was cracked due to the rubbing and nearly rubbed through. Any recommendations on cheapish black huggers?

Should my hugger rub the tool box?

Only if she sleeps on her side and you can get close enough.
