Is it OK to seal around an anti-fog insert to stop it moving and to keep out dust?
I've got a Nolan helmet with it's own brand of anti-fog insert that's pushed tight against the visor by rotating cam-shaped lock pins. Trouble is that the pins vibrate loose and the insert/visor periphery gets progressively more scratched every time it happens. Every so often the pins break. I've replaced 2 visors, 2 inserts and about 4 sets of pins in 30 months! And that's despite keeping all surfaces nice and clean. Before I spend another £50-odd replacing the current insert and visor I'd like to know if I should seal the new ones up? If I can, what's the best thing to use? Silicone sealant, UPVC glue....? No, but use a small dab of clear silicone bathroom type sealer to stop the pins vibrating loose.

Thanks for the info. I guess that might help so I'll give it a try.
