Default A new little runabout?

Last night we had one of these parked up at Lord's for an event and after everyone went in to dinner the guy from the dealership let me have a sit in it.

It's a little beyond my budget at the moment - but if I was thinking of buying one I'd have the following pros to consider...

It does 30mpg (my car does about 28 on a good day)
It costs less to service than my car at a main dealer and the tyres are cheaper
It can can carry a child's booster seat, so that would keep the nephew happy
It has parking sensors as you can't see a thing out of the rear window
It probably depreciates in value less than my car
The orange version goes well with my hair

On the downside, there is no way you can get out of it elegantly if you are wearing a dress (as I discovered) and it does cost £200k

Must remember to buy my Euromillions lottery ticket on the way home tonight.

Very nice car!

But what the hell are you driving that has tyres more expensive than the ones on a Mclaren?

+1

Also how much do your services cost?! I can imagine Mclaren servicing isn't the cheapest.

I drive a 7 series but there are only about 2 types of tyres you can now get for it so they can pretty much charge what they like for them as I can't really shop around.

And no it doesn't have an F1 engine in it, but I do like to drive it like a go kart. It costs me over £140 to fill the tank and my mostly short journeys are not the most economical.

I get my servicing done at a local place that is all ex-BMW and Merc employees so it's not too unreasonable but if you do visit the dealer they charge about £300 just to plug it into the computer, take a sharp intake of breath and say - "ooooh, that'll be expensive".

McClaren are pitching it now that the car costs less to service than Audis, Mercedes and BMWs and hold their value better.

That's because the designers allowed for the fact that very few women would still be wearing their dress by the time they came to get out....
