4 Degree timing advance key - Who is interested? - SV650.org

Hi all

Thanks to one of the forum members I now have the dimensions of the woodruff key for 4 degree of timing advance.

I am currently negotiating the price with a couple of engineering companies to make a small quantity of keys.

ON the basis of the best quote i have sofar I think I can offer the following

Single key £14
Single key with puller £17

2 Keys £25
2 Keys with puller £28

All plus a couple quid postage.

So is anyone interested in a 4 degree advance key, if so post below so I can get a feel for numbers.

The 4 degree of advance brings the ignition timing closer to the ideal for the fuel we use in the UK, the higher the RON the slower the burn, engines are timed for a wide range of fuel including very poor low RON fuels which we don't find in the UK.

So 4 degree's of advance should give better low end throttle response and better low end torque, ideal for road riding and overtaking without changing down the box.

This key will fit SV650 all models, SV1000, DR650 and DR1000 and is a simple job to complete.
