How long would it take to cycle around the border of Yorkshire?
As in a lap. On a pushbike. Any ideas?

Ages... I'd guess that it would be over 400 kilometres around, going off the 11000 sq km area from Wikipedia. What have you got in mind?

Re: How long would it take to cycle around the border of Yorkshire?
So if LEJOG is 800 odd miles and most people seem to do it in under 12 days, the yorkshire jobby should be easily acheivable by someone who's trained for it?
Just thought about a lap of yorkshire for charity in the past (on and off for about the past 2 years tbh), either for yorkshire air ambulance or kirkwood hospice if enough people were inclined to support it.. hard times though.

Re: How long would it take to cycle around the border of Yorkshire?
cheers dudes, had a shedload of leaflets through the door telling me to treat me mum this mothers day, even though I never go more than half a day without thinking about her it's rekindled my thoughts of giving something back to the hospice or charity in general..
Kind of owe it to kirkwood (and they need £4.2m a year to keep running), but then I feel like the yorkshire air ambulance would get a better response & would be more effective as a fund raising exercise, as their coverage is the whole of yorkshire vs. the kirklees area of west yorkshire for kirkwood.... How hard can it be?

That's a lot of effort to go to in order to avoid entering Yorkshire. Are you Lancastrian by any chance? Or were you just refused a Yorkshire visa due to past misdemeanors?
