Default Shock absorber servicing - where?

After recommendations for somewhere to service my shock, preferably yorkshire area so I can chase it up if there's a problem!

i think the two that advertise on ebay are Bradford area.

brook suspension.

you might find that they are the same people just trading under a different name. as far as i can tell brook are a bit sketchy as to where they are.

might be worth giving brook a phone and ask for their address.

All done by shocktech, quick turn around the chap i dealt with seemed nice enough offered for me to come back when the bike was back on the road and he'd set the suspension up for me (I interpreted it as free of charge) so I may take them up on the offer.

However, always duly paranoid - how can I tell they've actually serviced it ?

If the shock needed to be serviced, the rear suspension should feel significantly less vague and bouncy, this should be apparent as soon as you ride it. The settings for damping should also be as recommended by the manufacturer if adjustable. As in it should not feel stiffer because everything has been wound in tight
