Default ePetition for changes to car driving test.

Some may have already spotted this, it's an attempt to get a few more bike-awareness questions in the car theory test

http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/26272

MrsDJF is a happy little monkey - she spotted this on the new Ducati Forum (Ducatisti still appears to be dead)

just and advert for bennetts really. shame as if they had left the bennetts name clear of the pettion it would probably have 1,000,000 votes by now.

I have to admit, I didn't really look, I just typed in the URL under instruction from Mrs.

Bennetts? Don't talk to me about Bennetts......

does it matter who "sponsors" the petition as long as the message is out there? no need to sign up to bennetts... just sign the petition, it will only do us all good becos the test its seriously lacking in bike related questions.. having recently done a speed awareness course, of the 4 hours i spent in there... about 5 minutes was dedicated to bikes/bikers... and reading the stats, the unobservant, non-biking community could do with a bit of a wake up/shake up..

I think if it's a worthwhile petition then, no, it probably doesn't matter who proposes it. I am a bit concerned though - page 5 of RiDE "Sorry mate, I didn't realise motorcycles existed" states they need a million signatures!!

It's OK, it's really only 100,000 but, lol, an insurance company having trouble with figures

I filled in the first half on my phone, then scrolled down and it asked for my address... Thats when I closed the page.

Ill sign a petition when there is one to make the CBT compulsory before passing a driving test.

Ok, Stuuk1 for Transport Minister - that's an excellent idea! There is probably a good argument for making riders have a few car lessons as well, to give them an idea of car blind spots etc
