OK, I need some advice please.
I've got a pair of SV's one naked and one fully faired. ![]() And this one. ![]() Now I love the S but its power seems to be rather poor compaired to my naked. Now apart from adding the power commander what else can I do to the S to make it grow some bollox and go that much better and faster. I'm going to track day it in either April or May. Brands, Snetterton plus a few others. Time permitting. Too many other things going on at the moment. Got a few quid to play around with so just need some advice on how to make it go better. Handling will also be sorted out in the coming weeks. |

the only difference is plastics = more weight and the naked will have a larger rear sprocket which may make it feel faster but will have slightly less top speed.
if it's acceleration your after then get a longer chain and a bigger rear sprocket for the S |

The naked is a good 5-10 kgs lighter than the Bikini faired If you're looking for cheap gains the re-gearing is a v good idea, followed by an improved rear shock and fettled front end

A naked always feels faster, beacuse you are in the elements more than on the S. My N felt quicker than my S simply because there's no weather protection on it

The K9 will have the twin spark heads and oxygen sensor - did they put a cat in the exhaust on these as well?
The naked has an extra tooth on the rear sprocket which will help |
