Smile Riding in snow is not fun.

Had my first expierence of riding in a total white out today. Bloody scary. A87 from Invergarry to Kyle of Lochalsh. Had to wipe visor every 3 seconds to see, at this point realised this was a bit silly and turned back. Nice ladies at Invergarry Hotel took sympathy on me and gave me a cup of tea foc. Half hour later rode the same road in blinding sunshine, foot of snow at the side of the road tho.
Went for a curry on Skye to celebrate!

Typed on my phone!

You been spending time with Keith Lemon?

On a serious note tho, no it's not fun but knowing what to expect counts for a heck of a lot.

ooh that sounds scary. Hit snow in the dark once on the M74 coming north, could hardly see 2 ft in front of me.

Cool Re: Riding in snow is mot fun.

Gave up and headed back south to Dunoon. Toooo bloody cauld!

Got up this morning and it was freezin oop north, so decided to give it up, there's being brave and there's being daft! Ride from Kyle of Lochalsh to Ft William was the most beautiful and the coldest I have ever been! Had to stop at the top of A87 with 12" of snow around as I had lost all fealing in my fingers and that was with supposedly @winter' gloves on. Ben Nevis was totally covered in snow. Sat in MacD's in Ft William and recovered, even enjoyed the road south from Ft William to the bridge! Not much traffic that roads good! Never thought I would say that!

I enjoyed the expierence but decided it was just too daft to carry on north.

Gonna go for a wee run up to green welly & Crianlarich tomorrow.

Will post snow pictures up next week when I get home.

PS. Dinnae worry bluefish! I am glad I tried! Better to have tried than not, and then regretted!!

PPS I don't get the Keith Lemon thing?
