When you give the rear wheel a shove, how many times does it rotate before coming to a stop?
Mine manages 2 or 3 revolutions give or take. normal? |

Depends on how hard you shove it?

Well, i gave my rear wheel a good hard shove as suggested. It turned maybe a 1/4 turn then the bike fell off the side stand and smashed to bits on the ground. Is this correct?

Yep, everything, (gravity included), seems just as it should be.

It is very dependant on chain tention, age and bearing conditions, also, how hard you push, but, if you're pushing hard 2 or 3 sounds a bit low for a free rolling wheel

as above, all depends on how everything is. mine will go a full turn, if that before lubing up. after lubing it up, gets a good few turns in.

You push it you listen for grinding noises. You check the back brakes not siezed. You check that the chain is adjusted correctly and everythings clean and lubed. I think thats what you should be doing. You'll sound like a mad un' with this sort of thread.
