Default RIDE Power survey results.

Suzuki Sv650s 03-on came 178th. That's way low considering how popular a bike it is. I was expecting it to be at least in the top 60. Oh well!
btw I did fill out the survey online!

Actually look what's 7th, 5th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st. Bloody BMW's! Says it all really. Where's the nc30, sv650, BMW f650, Ducati 916 etc. Not in the top 100???

I like Ride The kit ratings are a god send when you're new to biking. I do own slippers and cardigans though

They are very BMW, but BMWs are quality bikes. I picked up "Bike" magazine last week too, FULL of BMW from cover to cover

Can I point out it's not the amount of people that rate a particular bike but how they rate it.

Seems that although the SV is popular it's not (in the eyes of the public) as good as others. Finish for example is pretty bad on SVs.

There are better bikes out there than the SV - however much they may be loved by their owners, this thread is an exercise in subjectivity.

OP: Just to pick a couple of your suggestions - the NC30 won't make it on to a list like this nowadays - there just aren't enough of them out there to make even a noticeable blip in the numbers. The 916 is no longer current by a long way, (last made in '98 - 14 years ago), and as beautiful as it is - and it unquestionably is - the later Ducati bikes are better.

The SV is great, truly a memorable bike, a device that on paper will not excite, but is undoubtedly and very happily greater than the sum of its parts. Enjoy an SV for what it is - and for the money it costs.
