Default Selkirk

Anyone live near Selkirk or Moffat. I need an up date on the weather tomorrow.
Forecast is snow but I'd like to know for certain tomorrow.
Cheers in advance.

I'm 25 miles south of Moffat but might be heading up there tomorrow, could let you know if/when I remember? Nelson on here is at/near Kelso if memory serves me right?

I'm hiring a van tomorrow and need to go on a minor road near St Marys Loch. So need a heads up before putting hand in pocket at around 8 - 9 am. Been searching for web can on line nearby but no luck.

Certainly just now in Dumfries there's almost zero chance of any snow, it's still warm... You 'could' try phoning one of the hotels/shops in Moffat first thing to see? Either the Moffat Toffee Shop or one of the petrol stations should be open by then?

Got the number of the Glen Cafe and they open at ten.

So I think between accuweather and those two I should have a decent idea.

Many Thanks

As of now 0230, no sign of snow. At that time in the morning I won't be awake, but might be worth phoning the Tibbieshiels hotel on 01750 42231 and asking the weather. They're right on St Mary's Loch and someones usually around early doors.

If you're heading off the beaten track and the weathers bad, maybe make someone aware of your route and likely ETA in case you dont turn up. I've been stranded down a farm track about 3 miles off the road in the past (sodding hillwalkers going missing) after taking the sump off the car I was in, and it was a very long walk out. Mobile signal is ****e.

Nice scenery though!
