Default Installing a baffle on a bent can

Thanks to Maviczap I can make a step towards not scaring the whole village when I go out on my bike. I am now the proud owner of this.

Problem is the can has a bit of a kink in the end so it won't go in

Any ideas on the best plan of action?

Reckons ya could still get a straight line into that. Get a rubber mallet and give it a good wack!

Company who made the can vanished a long time ago so unlikely i'll get a DB killer for it.

I was thinking it probably needs re-packing soon anyway so I could drill the rivets out, then take the end off and put it in from the other side. Only problem with that is it's a bit more permanent.

Cheers Dave, looks like exactly the same one as I have. I guess it just needs trimming down a bit.

Man up and buy some ear plugs yer big fairy....

Or just cut the end of the baffle the same angle as the end of your can.

I prefer option 1.

The can sounds lovely

Don't ram it in you can damage the can /squash the packing.
If the packing goose your wasting you time tbh.
And if it sits in the middle it will be more effective.
Mind option 1 has my vote....
